Yes I know this blog's name is very ugly and unappealing, which is why before I start writing anything else here I should explain how I came up with this name.

The ugly green frog is not, by any means, a reflection of the writer of this blog nor a reference to any living being in the world other than the ugly green frogs themselves. It is not meant as an insult to the frogs, but rather, the writer finds the phrase rather interesting. The image of an ugly green frog is so ugly that it's something that can stick easily to people's mind and remain there for quite a while. So hopefully it will be easy for everyone, frogs and people alike, to remember the address of this blog. Each word also contains the letter G, by the way. Not that it's of any importance.

There is a story behind the ugly green frog. It's a doll I got from a friend which I initially refused to take because of its extreme ugliness, but which I finally succumbed to taking. A doll forcibly given and unwillingly received, that's what it is. And now it's sitting at the edge of my desk, staring into space with its yellow eyes half hidden beneath its ptotic eyelids. Ugly. Only one word to describe it.
