Blo-od

I gave my fifth blood donation yesterday. Hmm where should I start... Everything went well. My blood pressure was 97/62 (normal is 105-135/60-85). A bit low, so I was relieved when they still let me get on with it. "They just want blood" was what my friend said. The chair was really comfy, it was my normal siesta time and I was feeling drowsy and a bit light headed, so when I finished with mine I asked them if I could sit down for a while whilst waiting for my friend to finish hers. Might as well since the chair was extremely comfy. Then we head over to the refreshment area where we had milkshake, and we ended up staying there for a few hours chatting. We came at 3 and left at 6. The whole process of donating blood took less than an hour. Do the math. It was in a way equivalent to hanging out at Starbucks. You get a drink, you sit down and you have a chat. Only this time it's free, you just have to give your blo-od. Not bad!
